Route from Europe to Kazakhstan

This is a long overland route through several countries. The cargo can travel in transit through Russia, or by the southern route: through Turkey, the Caucasus and the Caspian Sea. The choice depends on the goods, the country of departure and the delivery city. For some goods, transit through certain countries is restricted, so we check the route before preparing the estimate. We collect the cargo from the supplier’s warehouse and deliver it to the consignee’s warehouse.

Which transport suits your cargo

Road transport carries cargo from warehouse to warehouse. Rail suits containers and heavy equipment. Air freight is chosen for urgent shipments and spare parts. Machine tools and large structures are calculated as oversized cargo. Small consignments can be sent as groupage cargo. The choice depends on weight, dimensions and urgency, and we compare the options in the estimate.

Customs clearance

Kazakhstan is a member of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) together with Russia, but the import declaration is filed in the consignee’s country. The cargo is cleared by the Kazakh importer or its customs representative. Through transit countries the cargo moves under customs control, without being released for free circulation. We prepare the transport documents and agree the clearance document set with the consignee in advance. The usual set: contract, invoice, packing list and transport document.

If you have consignees in both Russia and Kazakhstan

Goods released for free circulation in Russia generally move to Kazakhstan without customs clearance under EAEU rules. There are exceptions for certain goods. Sometimes it is more convenient to import the consignment into Russia and send part of it onward. Whether such a scheme works depends on the goods and the contract terms.
