When you need transport within Turkey
Most often this is the first leg of an international delivery. The supplier ships the goods from its warehouse, and they then have to be taken to a port, an airport or a place where consignments are combined into one shipment. Such transport is also needed when buying on EXW or FCA Incoterms, where the buyer arranges collection of the goods from the seller. The reverse task also arises: imported cargo has to be distributed from a port or airport to the consignees’ addresses in Turkey.

A personal manager handles the shipment. He or she agrees the dispatch with the supplier and stays in touch until the cargo is handed over.

Transport
Within Turkey the cargo usually travels by road. It is flexible in terms of addresses and suits both a full truck and a small consignment. Oversized cargo requires a separate route calculation and selection of equipment. For the estimate we need the collection and delivery addresses, weight, volume and type of packaging. We state the cost and transit time in the estimate.
What next
Domestic transport is rarely a task on its own. It is usually followed by delivery from Turkey to Russia, to Kazakhstan or to Europe. If you order the whole route, there is a single estimate and one manager is responsible for the cargo.

How much does it cost to transport cargo within Turkey?
The cost depends on the distance, the weight and volume of the cargo, and whether you need a full truck or space in a groupage shipment. Send us the addresses and cargo details and we will prepare an estimate in 1–2 days.
Can I order transport within Turkey only, without international delivery?
Yes. Describe the cargo, the collection address and the delivery address in Turkey, and we will prepare an estimate. If you later need international transport, it can be added to the same order.
My supplier sells on EXW terms. What does it mean for me?
Under EXW the seller only prepares the goods for shipment at its own warehouse. Collection, export clearance and onward transport are the buyer’s responsibility. These tasks can be handed over to us. We go through delivery terms at a foreign trade consultation.
Will you collect cargo from several suppliers in different cities?
Yes. For the estimate we need the addresses of all suppliers, the readiness dates and the details of each consignment. We combine the consignments into one shipment so that they travel together afterwards.
Who handles export clearance in Turkey?
This depends on the delivery terms under Incoterms. More often the export declaration is filed by the supplier or its broker. We confirm this with the supplier before shipment.
Do you transport oversized cargo within Turkey?
Oversized cargo is calculated separately: we need the dimensions, weight and a drawing or photo of the cargo. For more details, see the page on oversized cargo transport.
